ABOUT THE HOST
Hong Kong
Hong Kong is a city and a special administrative region in China. A vibrant city known for its bustling financial district and thriving business environment, Hong Kong serves as an ideal backdrop for the IEO competition. With its unique blend of Eastern and Western influences, the city offers participants a diverse and dynamic setting to showcase their talents, communicate, compete, and learn something new about the world.
Gifted Education Council
Established in 1988 by Professor Rex Li, the Gifted Education Council is a charitable organization which aims to promote gifted education and training of talented students in Hong Kong.
G. T. College
In 1996, the GEC founded G.T. College, the first school to nurture and develop gifted students in Hong Kong. Today, G.T. College has over 1000 students in Primary and Secondary sections. Its secondary school campus was built in 2005 with the most updated facilities, which will serve as the main venue for IEO 2024.
Hotel and Dormitory
Teams are invited to stay either in a 5-star hotel downtown, or in a private college dormitory.
